With over 1 year of planning and development, ozLance Freelance Marketplace has finally launched… ozLance is a digital marketplace for freelance professionals around the world to come and bid on many different projects. Projects are posted by project managers, buisness owners, web professionals, and firms looking for a top designer or programmer.
Concept
Your computer is your office. You are skilled in one or more programming language, web and/or graphic design areas, operating system, etc. You are articulate, communicative, straight-forward and have the ability to attract clients and manage contracted jobs with skill while meeting deadlines. You have a work history or portfolio that clearly examples and/or showcases your skills.

So how is ozLance.com.au different then some of the other freelance sites out there?
There are many U.S based sites which offer a simliar service (with added fees), however, there is a significant time difference between Australia and America, which leaves most aussies in the dark when it comes to communication. Since ozLance is targeted to people who live in Australia and New Zealand, there is only a 1 or 2 hour time gap, which allows for easy communication between clients and freelancers.
We do not take a final value fee/commission, nor do we charge any monthly fees, you will only be charged a flat fee when you find a job to work on and decide to contact the Client with your details. We also offer an online private messaging system with an attachment feature, which allows to you personally communicate with the client or freelancer.
How It Works
- Sign up as a Freelancer – Create a profile that highlights and lists your applicable skills.
- ozLance records your information and skills in a database.
- Clients submit projects to ozLance that match your area of expertise, ozLance sends you an email with links to the newly listed projects.
- You determine from the project specs how much the work is worth – place your bid accordingly.
- Clients select Freelancers based on experience, skill set, value, and a host of other criteria. If the Client selects you as Freelancer the project will be closed automatically and we will send your contact information to the client.
